my very own octopus!

Tossing and turning. Restless moaning. Endless thrashing about. No, it’s not the Amityville Horror. I’m talking about the flailing octopus that sleeps next to me every night - the one who wacks, smacks, and kicks me the whole night through, then insists on 30-45 minutes of snooze alarm in the morning. I’m dying here people! What have I subjected myself to? I'm starting to wonder if sleeping alone was all that bad before I met Mr. Restless-sleeper?

Sings to self… “The things we do for love..oh oh”.

i did a double take on that one Nancy! I thought you said something else... :::smirk:::

I suppose i could snuggle in close and make him hold me tight, but you see, he twitches and he snores in my ear! UGH.

I guess the honeymoon is over! HA HA! We used to sleep close all the time. whats up with that?

Good-it'll get you used to sleeping with a kid!!!!!

I have a compulsive snoozer here too-I don't get it-once the alarm goes off for me, the party's over.

Oh yeah! When the little one sneaks in...you wake up feeling like you went 9 rounds with Sugar Ray.

Sorry to break it to ya darlin'!

amen to this...hubby and İ were big into all-night snuggling...he almost felt hurt if İ rolled away. Now, he can't sleep unless he's in his own little cocoon of sheets...what changed? Having the baby, dealing with functıoning with no sleep, opposite work schedules...İ think we both changed.
As to kids...all 3 of mine are all-night mattress explorers and vigorous kickers (ever get a little leg across your throat in the middle of the nıght? You wake up gagging!)
A friend tried that nose-strıp thing that's supposed to help stop snoring. She said ıt works...İ don't know, but it's worth a try!

Ugh. Here is a double-edged sword. Mine can't sleep when I'm not in the bed. It's sweet, and it's a bond between us. But it sure causes problems when he needs to go to bed early and I'm not ready.
