the little things

How bad is it when you get excited about going to the gas station and asking the attendant to "fill 'er up"?

$1.99 a gallon people! I feel like we are on the brink of something bad here.

I was out before and I saw that gas was $1.93 and I was excited. Excited!

What do you think is going to happen, that isn't already happening?

As our world & country is going to hell, at least we have lower gases prices. Finally.

$1.63 here... feeling the need to buy a large tank and stock up. I too, am leery of the quick fall of the prices. I'm enjoying it!

I listened as two idiots had a conversation in my presence last week about how there really is no recession, and it's all a facade.

We've BEEN on the brink of something disastrous for years now. people are only starting to just pay attention.

isn't it ironic? Think back, oh, what? Two years or so? (Maybe it's been more--I am very bad with time frames at this stage of my life!) Back when gas prices first started to really rise--we thought that close to $2 was highway robbery! Now we're thanking our stars and calling it cheap! Of course my ever-crabby hubby says that it SHOULD be expensive, the way it is in Europe, to get us to conserve, to which I reply in my best Bush-voice, "No, it shouldn't-- this is Amur'ca!" LOL

Jen..hahahhaa... Amur'ca!

My dad says nothing will be done about the energy crisis until americans are paying $6 - $8 a gallon. I have to agree..but honestly i was crying when i had to pay $4something a gallon and travel 60 miles a day to work round trip. It was seriously affecting my bank account.

I had to take a picture when it hit $1.97. Yeah, we are on the verge of something, that's for sure.

The price of petroleum products is a thing that isn't well understood, and I feel a little weepy always when I try to explain it to myself.

I've heard our economy can be affected in the most unusual ways. My dad tried to explain to me one day why the price of food was affected by China buying our steel LOL. It was interesting but far to complicated for me.
